Greater Milwaukee Auto Show runs through next Sunday

MILWAUKEE -- If you're a fan of cars, the Frontier Airlines Center is the place to be, as the 2012 Greater Milwaukee Auto Show has rolled into town! The show kicked off this weekend, and runs through next Sunday, March 4th.

The auto industry's biggest names are showing off the newest trends and best cars money can buy. Daryl Wheeler and his family visited the show for the fourth year. Wheeler says until he's ready to shop for a new vehicle, he wants to live his dream through a Dodge Hemi. "Someday, maybe it will be my third or fourth car, but we're also looking at the Corvette ZRY, and my wife wants the Camaro," Wheeler said.

Brandon Friese shared a similar feeling, sitting in a Mustang. "It's a rare car, something I'd like to get out on the open road," Friese said.

Chances are, you can find your dream car, or at least close to it, at the 2012 Greater Milwaukee Auto Show. "There's not dealer pressure for you to buy everything that you sit in. You can just go around and check out the cars, and hear a few facts about them," Friese said.

You can also view cars that were used in movies, like the police car used in Transformers, the Ford John Travolta raced in Grease, and the 1967 Shelby driven by Nicholas Cage in Gone in 60 Seconds. "It's kind of a rare treat, because they are cars you just don't see normally. To bring them here to Milwaukee is really cool," Wheeler said.

Wheeler says he loves the Auto Show for another reason: "Just hanging out with the family, seeing all the new cars. Just getting to walk around and enjoy a morning," Wheeler said.
