Grafton police arrest 2 suspects for allegedly prowling
GRAFTON -- Two people were arrested by Grafton police for allegedly prowling on Kiowa Dr. late on Monday, August 1st.
Officers were dispatched to the neighborhood around 11:30 p.m. This, after a caller stated a white pickup truck had parked in the area. The caller indicated two people had exited the truck and were walking up and looking in people’s cars that were parked in driveways. Officials say the subjects were described as being dressed in all black.
When officers arrived on the scene, they saw the white pickup truck and two people inside. Officers made contact with the two -- and their investigation revealed both suspects had been involved in theft from a vehicle in this specific area, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing, prowling and violation of probation.
In addition, the operator of the truck was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant.
Officials say both suspects have lengthy criminal records.
