Golden Retriever helps locate missing boy in western WI

PIERCE COUNTY -- Man's best friend helped find a missing boy in western Wisconsin.

Scotty Meyer was found early Wednesday morning, July 4th. He wandered a half-mile from his home.

Jason Moser was walking his golden retriever when the pair heard some noises coming from a wooded area.

"I was just coming up from the railroad tracks. Probably started crying more than he was," Moser said.

"It is incredible, we've got heat, over 100 degrees, almost 24 hours, but kids are tough. Thank God kids are tough," Pierce County Sheriff Nancy Hove said.

The boy suffered a few mosquito bites and was a little dehydrated, but is expected to be fine.
