Gerber recalls organic food pouches over spoilage concern

NEW YORK — Gerber Products Company issued a voluntary recall Thursday of organic food pouches because of a spoilage risk.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, a packaging defect during the product's transportation may result in spoilage.



The recalled products are the the following:

Consumers may have noticed that the packets were bloated and may have a foul taste or odor. There have been three reports of people having temporary stomach problems.

The company said it's working to receive the four affected batches that were sold online and in retail stores nationwide.

Gerber is offering replacement coupons for customers who purchased the products.
