Fundraising dance planned for Thursday for boys killed in fire
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee County Supervisor Peggy Romo West has announced a fundraising dance in honor of Michael Gonzales and Isaiha Kobow, who were killed in a fire at a West Allis duplex early on St. Patrick's Day.
The dance is co-sponsored by the Kosciuszko Advisory Board and Sam Asad with Envy Night Club.
The dance is called “Let the Music Play to Heaven with Love: A dance for Isaiha & Michael” and will be held on Thursday, April 4th from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Kosciuszko Community Center (2201 South 7th Street).
“Kosciuszko Community Center is the heart of the Community,” said Supervisor Romo West, “These young men and their families have deep roots in our community so we are very happy to support the Kobow and Gonzales families, who suffered the tragic loss of their sons/brothers/nephews Isaiha Kobow and Michael Gonzales.”
Admission for the dance is $5. The dance is for children ages 12 to 17 years old, and will feature music by DJ Monk, a B-Boy exhibition from 7:30 until 8:00 p.m., a bake sale and a 50/50 raffle -- as well as concessions.
Proceeds benefit: “For the benefit of Isaiha Kobow” (Landmark Credit Union) & “Benefit for Michael A. Gonzales” (Tri City National Bank) -- accounts set up to help pay for the boys’ final expenses.
