Freeway shut down after pedestrian struck by vehicle, killed on I-94 eastbound in Jefferson County

SULLIVAN (WITI) -- Wisconsin State Patrol officials say a pedestrian was killed when that pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while walking on I-94 eastbound on Saturday night, December 6th.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. on I-94 eastbound west of Willow Glen Road near Sullivan.

Following the incident, a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper and Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy arrived on scene and performed life-saving measures, but the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The striking vehicle remained at the scene following the incident.

Four occupants were in the striking vehicle, and they suffered non life-threatening injuries.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating and working to reconstruct the incident.

All lanes of I-94 eastbound were shut down at County Highway F in Jefferson County for several hours as officials investigated.
