Fond du Lac police have ID'd possible suspect in shots fired case
FOND DU LAC (WITI) -- Fond du Lac police say they have identified a possible suspect in a shots fired incident that occurred on Tuesday, September 9th around 11:00 p.m.
Police were dispatched to the area of South Street at Elm Street for a report of several gunshots being fired.
The gunshots were apparently heard by a Sheriff's deputy in the parking lot of the city/county building. The deputy reported seeing several people flee from the area from which the gunshots originated.
Police later located a vehicle matching the description of one seen leaving the area.
Police say four individuals were questioned, and while it was determined they were present at the time the shots were fired, they weren't involved in firing the shots.
Police say they've discovered evidence and information indicating several gunshots were fired. They have identified a possible suspect.
Police haven't received any information as to any injuries being sustained in the incident.
It is believed an argument at a gathering on South Street led to the shots being fired.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
