Folks set out on Lake Winnebago as sturgeon spearing season begins
The first day of sturgeon spearing in Wisconsin is a wrap!
Thousands made their way to Lake Winnebago on Saturday, February 11th hoping to spear one of the prehistoric fish.
DNR officials say things went better than expected on opening day, with fishers finding pockets with good visibility and lots of fish.
