Fifth bomb threat of the night: Walgreens in Saukville evacuated after call in threat

SAUKVILLE (WITI) -- The Saukville Police Department confirms that a bomb threat was called into the Walgreens store on 829 E Green Bay Ave. Friday evening, July 25th.

Highway 33 was shut down near the Walgreens in Saukville. The Walgreens store along with some of the surrounding businesses were evacuated because of the threat.  Saukville Police requested the help of the Milwaukee County Bomb Squad, which responded to the scene.

The Milwaukee Co. Bomb Squad did do a sweep with its K9 officers inside the Walgreens store and found nothing.  Police have re-opened the businesses that were evacuated and have re-opened Green Bay Ave. and Highway 33.

Officials say they are still investigating the threat.  No one was injured. Police say it is too early to tell if this bomb threat is connected to the other bomb threats that were called in to the Walgreens in Plymouth and the Walgreens and Fleet Farm in West Bend.
