Father alerts mother to their eight-year-old, dead in their home, only when "smell became too strong"
PENNSYLVANIA (WITI) -- The mother of an eight-year-old Pennsylvania boy whose body was found on the third floor of her family’s home said she didn’t know he had died until the smell became too strong, according to multiple media reports.
FOX6's sister station, FOX43 in York, Pennsylania says the eight-year-old boy's father is facing charges in connection with his death.

38-year-old Jarrod Tutko Sr. is being charged with endangering the welfare of children, concealing the death of children and abuse of a corpse.
FOX43 reports according to police, at some point over the last several days, eight-year-old Jarrod Tutko Jr. died in his home.
Police say Tutko Sr. was aware of his son's death.
Pennlive.com reports Kimberly Tutko told police her husband was the primary caretaker for their son, who was mentally disabled. She says he apparently waited several days to tell her the boy had died.
FOX43 reports when the odor of decomposition became too strong, Tutko Sr. alerted his wife to the dead child. She then called police.
Police were called to the home on Friday, August 1st.
Tutko Jr.'s cause of death is unknown.
Police say five other children inside the home (ages 13, 12, 10, 6 and 3) were taken into custody by the county's "Children and Youth Services" Department. Police say several of them suffer from medical conditions.
Tutko Sr. is currently in prison. He has a court date set for August 12th.
An autopsy on the eight-year-old boy is set for next week.
