Fatal crash: One dead following two-vehicle crash in Town of Yorkville

RACINE -- One person is dead following a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Racine County Tuesday morning, November 10th.

The Racine County Communications Center received a call around 7:30 a.m. about an accident on County Highway A at 55th Dr. in the Town of Yorkville.

Racine County Sheriff Deputies responded and found the accident involved two vehicles -- a Toyota Yaris and a Ford F150 pick up truck. Three people were involved in the accident, an operator and passenger in the Toyota and an operator of the Ford.

All people involved were transported by rescue squad to All Saints Wheaton Franciscan Hospital in the city of Racine.   The 72-year old-male passenger of the Toyota Yaris later died while being treated at the hospital.   The 72-year-old man was a resident from the Town of Yorkville.

The accident remains under investigation and the name of the deceased withheld pending notification to immediate family.   Alcohol/ drugs and speed do not appear to be a factor.
