About Truck Studio (from website)
Have you seen A.W.E.'s brightly painted mini-vans driving around your neighborhood and stopping in the parks near you? The A.W.E. Truck Studio Fleet of Imaginationconsists of four donated mini-vans stocked with exciting art supplies and staffed by enthusiastic professional artists and assistants. The Truck Studio is a FREE program operating during the summer Monday through Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. for six weeks and throughout the school year during certain afternoons and weekends at all the Milwaukee Public Libraries. The artists guide children through fun and engaging experiences designed to stimulate the imagination while exploring art media like painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture and more! Along the way they learn about famous artists, cultural art traditions, elements of art and principles of design. Many projects use recycled materials or simple materials and can be repeated at home.
