EAA officials: 550,000 people attended week-long AirVenture aviation convention

OSHKOSH -- The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) says the AirVenture convention in Oshkosh was one of the most successful in years.

EAA Chairman Jack Pelton said about 550,000 people attended the week-long aviation convention -- one of the highest attended shows in at least a decade.

Arrivals at Wittman Regional Airport peaked around 3,000 per day -- twice what occurs at Chicago's O'Hare Airport on any given day.
