Drivers take note: Next phase of McKinley Ave. project underway

MILWAUKEE -- The McKinley Avenue project in downtown Milwaukee moved into the next phase of work on Wednesday night, April 27th into Thursday morning, April 28th.

4th Street between Juneau Avenue and McKinley Avenue reopened starting Wednesday evening -- with lanes reopening to traffic and pedestrians.

During the overnight hours, 6th Street was closed to vehicles and pedestrians. This closure will remain in place until the project is completed in June.

The posted detour route will use 4th Street to cross between Juneau and McKinley. Bus routes running along 6th Street will also be detoured. The project is slated for completion in mid-June.
