Driver suffers medical emergency, crashes into garage -- crushing two vehicles parked inside
RIVER HILLS (WITI) -- River Hills police say an older male driver suffered some sort of medical emergency and crashed his vehicle into a garage containing two vehicles.
It happened just after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 8th.
We're told the driver, a Glendale man, was headed northbound on Green Bay Road -- about a block north of Bradley Road when he suffered the medical emergency. He lost control of the vehicle -- and the vehicle crossed the southbound lane of Green Bay Road, the ditch that separates Green Bay Road and the parallel service road.
The man's vehicle eventually plowed into the garage -- containing two vehicles.
That driver was taken to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of the medical emergency and some minor scrapes and bruises suffered in the crash. We're told the man had to undergo surgery for the medical condition. He was last listed in stable condition.
Police tell FOX6 News when the driver crashed into the garage, the homeowner was outside on the driveway -- but escaped injury. Another neighbor out for a walk was nearly struck, but that neighbor was also able to avoid injury.
