Downtown U.S. Bank parking structure reopens Monday

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The downtown U.S. Bank parking structure reopened on Monday, September 29th. The structure had been closed since last Tuesday, September 23rd.

The company building the office tower next to the structure said the closure stemmed from a slight movement in the north wall of the parking structure adjacent to the building site, detected last week.

Engineers and architects worked to inspect the parking structure's condition.

from Irgens Development Partners LLC issued this statement to FOX6 News:

"The U.S. Bank parking structure re-opened Monday morning. A successful inspection of the building was completed by engineers over the weekend. Parking in the structure's north bay will be limited, but open to pedestrian traffic. Work on the 833 East building project will continue as planned."
