Dodge County Sheriff's officials locate Milwaukee man missing after walking out onto Fox Lake

TOWN OF FOX LAKE (WITI) -- Dodge County Sheriff's officials say a 33-year-old Milwaukee man has been located after he was reported missing late Saturday night, January 17th in the Town of Fox Lake.

Sheriff's officials say they responded to The Boat House on Chief Kuno Trail in the Town of Fox Lake shortly before midnight -- for a report of a male who had left The Boat House on foot -- walking out onto Fox Lake.

The man's friends reported to police he was highly intoxicated and likely trying to get back to his cabin on the north side of the lake.

A search began and continued through the night. That search included the use of thermal imaging and ATVs to search the vast area.

Sunday morning -- around 7:45 a.m., the man was located, walking near Hayes Resort on Blackhawk Trail.

The man was found to be in good health, and he required no medical treatment.
