Developing: Pleasant Prairie police seek cause of fire that destroyed barn
PLEASANT PRAIRIE -- Pleasant Prairie police are investigating a barn fire that happened on River Road late Wednesday, November 22nd.
Emergency crews found the barn fully engulfed in flames when they arrived on the scene. Officials say the barn and its contents were heavily damaged as a result of the fire. The siding on a neighboring garage was also damaged as a result of the fire.
Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue personnel were able to keep the fire from spreading to a nearby home.
Members of the Kenosha County Fire Investigation Task Force were called to the scene, because the cause and origin of the fire were not immediately known.
As of Thursday afternoon, November 23, those investigative resources remained at the scene.
