Denmark, Wisconsin woman is newest Megabucks millionaire

MADISON (WITI) -- Michelle Grant of Denmark is Wisconsin's newest Megabucks millionaire!

Grant purchased a ticket in Kewaunee that matched all six winning numbers in the Wisconsin Lottery's Saturday, April 13th Megabucks drawing to claim the game's $4 million jackpot.  She brought the winning ticket Monday to the Lottery's Madison headquarters where it was validated.

Grant chose to take the $4 million jackpot's single lump-sum cash payment of $2.9 million.  She will receive $1.98 million after taxes.

A news conference has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 17th in Kewaunee.

The $4 million winning Megabucks ticket was sold at Lakeshore Lighthouse, 1614 Center Street.  For selling that ticket, the store earns an $80,000 commission from the Lottery.  Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets with prizes of $600 or more earn the equivalent of 2% of the prize, up to a maximum commission of $100,000.

Saturday night's winning Megabucks numbers were 11, 16, 23, 27, 28 and 46.
