Cudahy firefighters battle blaze at home near Hammond Ave.

CUDAHY -- Cudahy firefighters battled a fire at a home on Hammond Avenue early Sunday morning, October 14th.

The fire reportedly broke out around 4:00 a.m.

First responders said the roof on the back of the home was engulfed when firefighters arrived on the scene.

Officials say it is unclear whether anyone was home at the time of the fire.

Damage to the home appeared to be contained to the back of the home.
