Crews called to fire at Janesville landfill

JANESVILLE -- Rock County emergency crews were called to a fire at the Janesville landfill.

According to the Janesville Fire Department, the fire started around 1:00 Monday afternoon, April 9th. They say telephone poles and a foam rubber landfill cover were burning.

Firefighters were on the scene early Monday afternoon, putting out hot spots.

Employees were evacuated. There's no word at this time on any injuries.
