MILWAUKEE -- Clean out your closet for a good cause, then get a great deal on new clothes. That's what people shopping at "Stuff the Truck" did Wednesday, September 16th at Mayfair Mall.
You can't miss the big Goodwill truck outside Boston Store at Mayfair Mall, and inside, cartons filled to the brim.
Donating to Goodwill is a yearly tradition for Marje Hoffman. She and hundreds of others stopped by with gently used apparel, shoes, handbags and more.
"Designer clothes mostly, Ralph Lauren, St. John," said Hoffman.
Just like the truck says, those donations just helped someone get a job.
Goodwill stores sell the items, funding programs to get people employed. Boston Store has been a partner of Goodwill for 21 years.
"We're giving back to those people who support us and then in turn, we can support them," said Boston Store manager Peg Klieforth.
Last year, this donation drive in Milwaukee collected 160,000 pounds of clothes. They are hoping to top that this year.
"I always think, you have to give back to the community. I taught that to my kids, my grand kids. You have to give back some way," said Laura Zonoozi, who donated to Goodwill.
Shoppers get coupons for the newly renovated Boston Store, depending on how many items they drop off.
You can donate to Goodwill at Boston Stores through Saturday, October 3rd. There are also "Goodwill sales" through that date.
