Thirty-one-year-old Bradley Hayek faces one count of hit-and-run involving death, one count of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and one count of bail jumping, all felonies. Prosecutors filed the counts on Monday, December 29th.

Racine police say they were called to a hit-and-run Thursday and found 45-year-old Robert Castaneda lying in the road. He later died at a nearby hospital. Officers arrested Hayek a few blocks away. Court records indicate he is awaiting sentencing on a prior drug conviction.

The Journal Times reports a court commissioner maintained Hayek's bond at $50,000 cash.

Hayek is set to appear at a preliminary hearing on January 7th. His attorney didn't immediately return a message.
