KOHLER (WITI) -- A group of Sheyboygan-area residents have embarked on a six-month journey to change their lifestyles during Prevea Health's Change Your Game Challenge.

Organizers say it's an opportunity for participants to change their nutrition and approaches to fitness and health care.

"It's not a quick fix. We're not going to give them the answers, we're going to give them the tools that they can incorporate into every part of their daily life," said Prevea Health Coach Jane Lehman.

Participants are one-third of the way through their journey.

27-year-old Tomi Genske's driving force through the program is her son. After seeing a relative die at a young age, Genske says she took a hard look at herself.

"My kid goes and goes and goes and I'm finally able to keep up, finally after seven years," said Genske. "I'm able to continue breathing easier. Just quitting smoking for him, for myself and for my family has been huge."

Other participants say they're changing their lives not only for the families they already have, but for the ones they want.

"The first miscarriage is 'oh, you're young it just happens a lot.' The second one was 'oh, you can keep trying' and then the third one, and before you know it you've got eight miscarriages," said Kimberly Hahn.

Prevea coaches are teaching participants to set realistic goals for themselves and to simply keep going.

The "team captain" of the challenge is none other than Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers met with participants at the start of their six-month challenge to offer encouragement.
