Celebrate end to long winter with 5th annual Milwaukee Beer Week
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Celebrate the end to a long winter with the fifth-annual Milwaukee Beer Week. The ultimate celebration of craft beer returns to the Brew City bigger and better than ever, April 26th – May 3rd. In addition to new partners, venues, brands and events Milwaukee Beer Week is also commemorating its fifth year with the launch of a brand new website.
The new site, that went live April 4, was designed to enhance the overall user experience and make it easy for consumers to navigate the 200 (and counting) events taking place in and around the city.
New functionality allows users to search events by date, venue, brewery or city and create a personalized beer week itinerary specific to them, their interest, beer preferences and location. Once created, the itinerary can be shared with friends via email or social channels, added as events to Google or other mobile calendars or printed to proudly display in or office or on your refrigerator.
As in past years, the week of festivities will kick-off with firkin tappings taking place all over the city starting at 4:00 p.m. Saturday April, 26. These unique creations from some of the most notable names in craft beer will be unveiled to enthusiasts at favorite beer bars and retailers all over the city.
The tappings are just the beginning of a week jam-packed full of events. Milwaukee Beer Week 2014 currently has over 200 events scheduled throughout the city, dedicated to socializing, sampling and celebrating craft beer. The event variety makes it easy for craft connoisseurs of every taste and preference to find the perfect fit.
Best of all, the majority of these events are FREE for the public to attend!

Also, back this year by popular demand, are the Milwaukee Beer Week Passports. The Passports offer a fun way to visit new pubs, restaurants and other venues, while also having a chance to win awesome prizes, meet new people, and most importantly sample new beers!
As similar to past years, the Passports allow attendees to accumulate points for each of the events attended throughout the week. Each event is worth two (2) points and is recorded in the Passport with an Official Milwaukee Beer Week sticker.
At the conclusion of the week, the Passport can be redeemed for various prizes (while supplies last), including, but not limited to Brewery tour passes to Milwaukee Brewing Company or Sprecher Brewery and brewery wearables.
