Car fully engulfed in flames temporarily stops traffic

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A two-vehicle accident on I-94W Thursday evening, October 24th caused a car to become fully engulfed in flames, temporarily shutting down traffic.

The accident happened around 7:10 p.m. between Mitchell Blvd. and Hawley Rd.

The Mitchell Blvd. on-ramp, as well as the left and center lanes of 94W were closed as crews worked to extinguish the fire. All eastbound lanes of 94 were also temporarily shut down.

No injuries were reported during the incident. All lanes of traffic were back open as of 8 p.m.
