Campbellsport H.S. punishes students after investigation into Craigslist ad

CAMPBELLSPORT -- After a student claimed her phone number became connected to a sex ad on Craigslist, punishments have been handed down at Campbellsport High School.

Tuesday, December 1st FOX6 News reported Campbellsport High School student Isabella Spoerl was getting strange calls from strange men and then later attached the calls to a fake Craigslist ad for sex.

However, the school says what really happened may have nothing to do with the website.

The 15-year-old student says she started getting the calls and texts on Monday, November 30th in school. She believed men were given her phone number through a Craigslist ad.

After an investigation, the school says they believe the phone calls were not strangers but fellow classmates. As many as six students have been punished but the school did not find a connection to a Craigslist ad.
