BUSTED: Fond du Lac police crack down on drug dealers

FOND DU LAC (WITI) -- Fond du Lac police say nine people were arrested on Wednesday, April 23rd in a "major arrest operation" targeting drug dealers in the city of Fond du Lac.

Police say 20 officers were deployed to locate and arrest 17 individuals who have felony arrest warrants in drug trafficking in the Fond du Lac area.

While these warrants were served on Wednesday -- police say an additional suspect outside the 17 named in the warrants was taken into custody on drug charges.

Eight of those taken into custody on Wednesday were arrested for manufacturing/delivery of cocaine -- and two were arrested for manufacturing/delivery of heroin.

Those arrested include:

“The Fond du Lac Police Department will continue to aggressively investigate and arrest those individuals who choose to deal illegal drugs in our community. We have often stated that illegal drug dealing is not only a Law Enforcement concern, but a concern for the entire community. The recent Heroin summit held at Marian University is a prime example of the Community coming together to be better informed on the dangers of Heroin and other drugs. The support that we have received and continue to receive in the way of tips and intelligence information from the public has greatly assisted us with investigating and arresting drug dealers.
