Business booms as football fans prepare for Packers vs. 49ers game

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — As the Green Bay Packers get set to take on the San Francisco 49ers in a divisional playoff game this Saturday, Green Bay Packers fans are preparing to don their green and gold.

From house decorations to pet costumes and sweat treats --  Packers fans are getting creative with the ways they show their Packer pride.

Regina's Bay Bakery on Spring Drive in Whitefish Bay is just one place that will be booming as fans get ready for Saturday's big game against the 49ers. The owner says many people are coming in to buy Packers themed cookies and cakes.

"A lot of moms (are coming in) picking up treats for the kids to take to school. People coming on Sunday's for the Sunday Packers games, Saturday Packers games. Everybody and anybody is coming in," Regina's Bay Baker owner Megan Rodrigueq says.

While cookies and cakes are a hit with fans -- the Packers pride doesn't stop there. Some woman are taking their love for the green and gold to their nails! Woman have been flocking to local salons to get their nails polished in green and gold.

Meanwhile, some Packers fans are spreading their Packers pride to their pets. At Hounds Around Town, Packers gear for dogs is quickly selling as people prepare for Packers parties.

Hounds Around Town owner, Lisa Peterson, says they have everything your pet will need for the big game. "We have everything from Packers dog jerseys to collars and leashes. We have football themed dog bakery treats and even some canned food that celebrates tailgating."

Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. CST on Saturday, January 12th from Candlestick Park as the (12-5) Packers take on the (11-4-1) 49ers.
