Burglars caught in the act at Waukesha market
WAUKESHA (WITI) -- Waukesha police caught a couple of burglars in the act of stealing from the Hop It Market on Lincoln Ave. on Wednesday morning, February 27th.
The owner of the business called police around 4 a.m. after receiving what he thought was a false alarm at the business. But when he checked the cameras in the business, he could see two people inside.
Officers set up a perimeter around the business with help from the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department. Around 5:30 a.m., the two individuals inside exited the market from a rear door. Both were arrested on the spot.
The suspects are a 29-year-old man from Brookfield and a 25-year-old man from Colgate.
