Brookfield's Nora Collins named 2012 WAMI Rising Star

APPLETON -- Brookfield's Nora Collins was named the 2012 winner of the Rising Star WAMI award. The awards ceremony for the Wisconsin Area Music Industry was held Sunday night, April 15th in Appleton (view video above).

Collins is a senior at Brookfield East High School who has already released two CDs. Her latest is "Run Away With Me."

Collins has performed at Summerfest, State Fair, Shank Hall and continues to play weekly at the two Brookfield Potbelly Sandwich Shops.

Upcoming appearances include: the Wisconsin Singer Songwriter Concert Series, Milwaukee Coffee House, Linneman’s, Friday Night Underground at the Intercontinental Hotel, Lucky Street Music Festival in Grafton and a return to Shank Hall.
