Brookfield police need your help to ID, find handbag thief

Boston Store theft suspect

BROOKFIELD (WITI) -- Brookfield police are on the hunt for a suspect they say is responsible for numerous retail thefts from Boston Store at Brookfield Square Mall.

A police report says the suspect entered the store and placed five handbags (Michael Kors brand) valued at roughly $1,300 into a shopping cart. He then walked toward the exit, removed the handbags and walked out of the store without paying for them.

The suspect was captured on surveillance video (see more pictures below) wearing a gray jacket and black knit cap. He's also been seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap. The police report indicates the suspect may be driving a tan Saturn SUV.

Police say this same suspect is thought to be responsible for at least three retail thefts.
