Brewers to host Law Enforcement Appreciation Night

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Brewers will take on the Pittsburgh Pirates, as they host the 2nd Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Night starting at 7:10 pm Friday, May 24th, at Miller Park in Milwaukee.

This special night is dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of all our public safety professionals. Funds raised will help to promote awareness and fund the forthcoming National Law Enforcement Museum, currently under construction in Washington, DC.

Pre-game festivities begin at 6:00 pm and will feature a display of area police cars in front of Miller Park on Brewers Way. Also on this special night, the opening ceremony of the game will be dedicated to Officer Jennifer Lynn Sebena, a Wauwatosa (WI) Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty last December. Officer Sebena’s friend, Officer Katie Gierach, will throw out the first pitch on behalf of the Sebena family, who will be in attendance.

Also in attendance will be Craig W. Floyd, Chairman and CEO of the Memorial Fund, who will recognize both Officer Sebena and Milwaukee’s own Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Harley-Davidson is one of the Memorial Fund’s corporate partners and generously provides a new peace officer special edition motorcycle each year for the Memorial Fund’s annual Harley raffle.

“We are proud to continue our partnership with the Milwaukee Brewers,” said Memorial Fund Chairman and CEO Craig. W. Floyd. “Coming together in ‘Brew Town’ for food, fun, and baseball in honor of Wisconsin law enforcement officers is sure to be a great evening—and a great way to raise awareness and funds for the Museum.”

The Milwaukee Brewers are offering special Law Enforcement Appreciation Night reduced ticket prices for law enforcement officers, their families, and all supporters.
