Brewers Hank making impact on dogs he has something in common with
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Brewers Hank, once a stray dog himself, is making a difference for other strays at the Wisconsin Humane Society.
Brew City Apparel has said $1 will be donated to the Humane Society for every "Hank" shirt sold -- and on Wednesday, April 23rd, they paid up.
Brew City Apparel co-owner Frank Keppler handed over a check for $2,000 in honor of Brewers Hank to help the organization care for other animals.
Humane Society directors say they didn't expect such a large donation!
"It means so much to us to have that kind of support and these dollars will go a long way to help animals. All of that is so dependent upon community support -- all the care that we provide for animals here at WHS, so we couldn't be more grateful," Angela Speed with the Wisconsin Humane Society said.
Speed says the money will help pay for spay and neuter services, vaccinations and microchipping for stray pets.
Brew City will continue to sell Hank T-shirts and make donations to the Humane Society for the rest of the year.
