Brewers food service employees hope you'll try something new

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The team of food service employees who put game day meals together at Miller Park is working hard ahead of Brewers Opening Day -- and they hope you'll consider trying something new this season.

John DiMartini is with Delaware North Companies, which operates five kitchens throughout Miller Park.

This season, those kitchens will have chefs taking their cuts, with new flavors to savor.

Along with beef brisket and chicken fajita wraps, there's this mysterious "burger on a stick."

"We took a hamburger, we wrapped it around cream cheese, cheddar cheese filling with relish in it -- put it on a stick and it`s gonna look like a corn dog. Then wrap beef around it, bread it and then we`re gonna deep fry it," DiMartini said.

DiMartini says Brewers baseball will always begin with hot dogs, brats and beer -- but he encourages fans to try something new.

"We're doing pork carnitas. We're doing ground beef tacos. We're making some different salsas this year. We're also doing a foot-long sausage station. We ran a couple of these items last year, and they just took off. Big success," DiMartini said.

Brewers Opening Day is set for March 31st. The Brewers will take on the Atlanta Braves.
