Boost in fees: Frontier bumping up fees for checked baggage -- but there's a catch

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Frontier Airlines is boosting the fees it charges passengers for checked baggage -- but it all depends on how you pay for your ticket.

On May 1st, fees charged by the airlines will rise by $5 per bag if you pay through their call center, on a third-party website or at check-in at the airport.

The fee for a bag carried to the gate exceeding the allowed dimensions for carry-on luggage will rise from $50 to $60.

The baggage fee stays the same for those who buy their ticket through the airline's website.
