Aurora Healthcare planning to add data center to its campus in Summit

VILLAGE OF SUMMIT (WITI) -- Aurora Healthcare is planning its first addition to its Summit campus.

A backup data center will be added for the entire Aurora network of hospitals and clinics.

The project will be the subject of a public hearing before the Village of Summit Plan Commission next week.

The one-story free-standing building will not be occupied with employees and would be used only in case of an outage at Aurora's main data center at the Aurora Sinai Medical Center in downtown Milwaukee.
