Officials say a MABAS box alarm was activated for this fire, meaning other fire departments were called in to help.
All residents of the home were able to escape without injury -- but at least two people have been displaced due to the blaze.
The responding fire departments needed 20-25 minutes to put out the fire.
Based on the initial investigation, it appears the fire was a result of a faulty extension cord and lamp that was in a second floor apartment.
Authorities have not released any more details at this time.
