Asher Heimermann suspends campaign for Wis. State Assembly

SHEBOYGAN -- Asher Heimermann announced Monday, April 23 that he is suspending his campaign for the Wisconsin State Assembly effective immediately. Heimermann cites "unforeseen circumstances" as the reason for suspension.

Heimermann announced back in January that he was running for the Wisconsin State Assembly against incumbent Republican Mike Endsley. Heimermann said he wanted to be a voice for the voiceless. " I originally ran because I thought the 26th Assembly District would benefit from having a state representative whose priorities are day-in and day-out: jobs, the economy, and standing up for working and middle class families," Heimermann said.

Heimermann says that suspending his campaign for the Wisconsin State Assembly is one of the hardest decisions he has ever had to make.

Heimermann's suspension of his campaign for the Wisconsin State Assembly is effective immediately.
