KOHLER -- Kohler Company union employees are now entering the fifth week of their strike.
UAW Local 833 officials say they're unhappy with the company's two-tier wage system and health care costs, and they say they'll be out on the picket line until an agreement is reached.
Meanwhile, the community is stepping up to help workers and their families this holiday season.
A food pantry and toy drives have been planned -- and that support is keeping spirits high.
"Any support is appreciated -- even if you come stand out here and shake hands. You know, lift the spirits up. A lot of support from the community. And it keeps coming in," Pete Doyle with UAW Local 833 said.
Doyle says as negotiations continue, union workers are hopeful they'll soon reach an agreement.
