April hearings to address bus rapid transit line between Tosa and downtown Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee County officials want the public to weigh in on a bus route that would link downtown Milwaukee and Wauwatosa.

Two hearings have been scheduled in April.

Officials say the route would be a "rapid transit" line -- where buses would run faster than traditional buses because they often have dedicated lanes, and can order traffic signals to remain green longer.

There are several possible routes, but so far, nothing has been set in stone.
