All clear: Crash temporarily shuts down lanes on SB I-43 at Capitol Drive

MILWAUKEE --  A crash on southbound I-43 at Capitol Drive forced officials to temporarily shut down the left two lanes of the interstate on Friday, October 9th.

The crash happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. Police had the ramp at Hampton Ave. to southbound I-43 also blocked off -- and there were significant backups on that part of the freeway system. All lanes reopened around 12:15 p.m.

No additional details have been released -- including the cause of the crash or if any injuries were sustained.
