After-school activities cancelled following threat at St. Francis H.S.

ST. FRANCIS (WITI) -- Officials in St. Francis are investigating a threatening message discovered at St. Francis High School on Thursday, April 18th.

Students and staff members were released at the conclusion of the school day, and all after-school activities were cancelled.

In a statement, St. Francis High School officials said:

"Measures have been taken to ensure the safety of all students and staff and as a result school will be open on Friday, April 19, 2013.

Threats to the student body, staff, and/or facilities are taken very seriously. Individuals who make such threats will face considerable disciplinary action up to and including expulsion and criminal charges. Any student having information pertaining to this event is encouraged to notify the St. Francis Police Department (414) 481-2232."
