81-year-old woman suffers life-threatening injuries after she was hit by car in Greenfield
GREENFIELD -- Greenfield Fire Department officials tell FOX6 News one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Tuesday evening, December 22nd.
It happened near 76th and Cold Spring Road around 6:15 p.m.
Police say the victim in this case is an 81-year-old Greenfield woman. She is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
The driver, a 70-year-old man from Milwaukee stopped and remained on scene. He is cooperating with this investigation.
An investigation has revealed the 70-year-old man was making a left turn from the Pick 'n Save store -- exiting onto Cold Spring Road to head east toward S. 76th Street.
The pedestrian was crossing Cold Spring Road from the south side of the street.
The area where the pedestrian was crossing Cold Spring road is an area that's not designated as a pedestrian crossing.
The investigation into this incident continues. Speed and impairment do not appear to be contributing factors.
