55-year-old man taken by Flight for Life after fall through ice



HARTLAND -- Police say a 55-year-old man was pulled from a body of water near the Windstone Terrace Condominiums in Hartland after he fell through the ice while ice fishing.

Flight for Life was called to the scene to transport the man to the hospital. His condition is not known at this time, and police are not releasing the man's name.

Police say the man was in the water for 20 to 35 minutes before being rescued.

Neighbors at the scene tell FOX6 they heard cries for help coming from Summit Lake around 3:40 Thursday afternoon. They say the man was frequently ice fishing, and it was a hobby of his.

Summit Lake is about 11 feet deep.
