53-year-old Oregon, Wisconsin man died while scuba diving in Devil's Lake State Park

BARABOO — A Wisconsin man has died while scuba diving in Devil's Lake State Park in south-central Wisconsin on Sunday, July 26th.

The state Department of Natural Resources says 53-year-old Mark Gant of Oregon, Wisconsin, was reported missing after he failed to contact family members. Officers responded to Devil's Lake and found him after spotting his diver's flag.

Sauk County Coroner Greg Hahn tells WISC-TV (http://bit.ly/1InKuRa ) it's unclear if Gant drowned, if there was a problem with his equipment or if he died from natural causes.

Hahn says an autopsy was completed Monday but it will take weeks for test results to be known.

The DNR is leading the investigation.
