51-year-old man critically injured after suffering electric shock

GREENFIELD (WITI) -- A 51-year-old Greenfield man is fighting for his life after suffering an electric shock.

Police say a contractor trying to fix a chimney accidentally touched a power line.

It happened near 82nd and Layton around 9:30 Saturday morning, August 3rd.

The man was taken to Froedtert Hospital.

About 700 people were without power for about half an hour.

At last check, the man was listed in critical condition.
