48-year-old Milton woman killed in single-vehicle crash

WALWORTH COUNTY (WITI) -- Officials say a 48-year-old Milton woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash in the Town of Darien on Saturday, June 8th.

It happened on County Trunk Hwy M just south of R-D (Richmond-Darien) Townline Road just after 8:00 p.m.

Officials say Lisa Martin was headed south on Highway M in a 1992 Chevy Blazer when she crossed the centerline, left the roadway and struck a tree.

Flight for Life responded to the scene, but Martin succumbed to her injuries and was not flown out.

The Walworth County Coroner pronounced Martin dead, and an autopsy will be performed this week to determine the exact cause of death.
