$4 million winning Megabucks ticket sold in Kewaunee

MADISON (WITI) -- A ticket sold in Kewaunee matched all six winning numbers in the Wisconsin Lottery's Saturday, April 13th Megabucks drawing to claim the game's $4 million jackpot.

The $4 million winning ticket was sold at Lakeshore Lighthouse, 1614 Center Street.

The winner has 180 days from the drawing to claim the prize at the Lottery's headquarters in Madison.  Once the winning ticket is validated by the Lottery the winner will have up to 60 days to choose the $4 million annuity jackpot, or the jackpot's $2.9 million lump sum cash payment.

Saturday night's winning Megabucks numbers were 11, 16, 23, 27, 28 and 46.

Megabucks is a jackpot game played only in Wisconsin, with drawings every Wednesday and Saturday.  Jackpots begin at $1 million and grow based on sales.  Players receive two plays for $1 and win the jackpot by matching the six winning numbers drawn.  The odds of winning the Megabucks jackpot are 1:7 million.

The last Megabucks jackpot winner was Betty Christopherson of Oconomowoc.  Christopherson won $6.3 million in the October 3, 2012 Megabucks drawing.
