29-year-old Milwaukee man dies after crash on I-41, south of County Line Road; 3 others hurt
WAUKESHA COUNTY -- A 29-year-old Milwaukee man died at the hospital after a crash on I-41 south of County Line Road in Menomonee Falls on Wednesday morning, October 12th.
It happened around 10:30 a.m., and involved three vehicles.
Officials with the Wisconsin State Patrol say a vehicle driven by a 31-year-old man was stopped in the center lane of traffic when it was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by a 39-year-old man.
Shortly thereafter, the 31-year-old man's vehicle was struck again by a vehicle driven by a 73-year-old man.
The 31-year-old man and his passenger, a 29-year-old man from Milwaukee were trapped in their vehicle and had to be extricated. The 29-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital via Flight for Life, where he died.
He has been identified by the State Patrol as Demario Harrison.
The 31-year-old man and the 73-year-old man were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The 39-year-old man was treated and released.
The northbound lanes of I-41 were closed for approximately 2 hours to investigate the crash. The
investigation into this incident is ongoing.
